PageSwipe is a book discovery and reading companion app that helps you find your next great read. Using our intuitive swipe interface, you can discover books tailored to your tastes, create and join book clubs with friends and family, and track your entire reading journey.

Yes! PageSwipe is free to download and use. Our free tier includes:

• Unlimited book discovery with swipe
• Create or join up to 2 book clubs
• Track your reading list
• Basic reading statistics

For power readers, we offer PageSwipe Pro with additional features like unlimited book clubs, advanced statistics, and early access to new features.

Creating an account is quick and easy:

• On iOS: Download PageSwipe from the App Store and tap "Get Started." You can sign up with your Apple ID, Google account, or email.
• On Web: Visit our web app and click "Get Started." Sign up with Google or your email address.

Your account syncs automatically across all your devices, so you can seamlessly switch between your phone and computer.

PageSwipe is currently available on:

• iOS: iPhone and iPad running iOS 16 or later
• Web: Any modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)

You can try the basic discovery feature without an account, but to get the full PageSwipe experience, we recommend creating a free account. With an account you can:

• Save books to your reading list
• Create and join book clubs
• Sync your data across devices
• Get personalized recommendations
• Track your reading progress and statistics

Our discovery feature shows you book cards one at a time. Each card displays the book cover, title, author, genre, and a brief description. You can:

• Swipe right or tap the heart to add books you're interested in to your reading list
• Swipe left or tap X to skip books that don't appeal to you
• Tap the card to see more details about the book

The more you swipe, the better our recommendations become!

Swipe Right (Like): The book is added to your "Want to Read" list. This also tells our algorithm that you enjoy this type of book, helping improve future recommendations.

Swipe Left (Skip): The book is passed over and won't appear again. This helps us understand what you're not interested in, so we can show you more relevant books.

Don't worry - if you accidentally swipe the wrong way, you can undo your last swipe by tapping the undo button.

PageSwipe learns from several signals:

• Books you swipe right on (genres, authors, themes)
• Books you swipe left on (what you're not interested in)
• Books you add to your library manually
• Your reading history and completion rate
• Optional: Your favorite genres selected during onboarding

The more you use PageSwipe, the more personalized your recommendations become. Most users see noticeably better recommendations after swiping through 50-100 books.

Yes! While our swipe discovery is great for finding new books, you can also search directly for:

• Book titles
• Author names
• ISBN numbers

Just tap the search icon in the navigation bar and enter your query. You can then add any book you find to your library or reading list.

There are several ways to add books:

• Swipe right during discovery to add to "Want to Read"
• Search for a specific book and tap "Add to List"
• Scan a barcode (iOS only) of a physical book
• From a book club - add the current club read to your list

Once added, you can move books between lists: Want to Read, Currently Reading, and Finished.

Book clubs in PageSwipe are private groups where you can read together with friends, family, or colleagues. Each club features:

• A shared book that everyone reads together
• Progress tracking so you can see how far along everyone is
• A suggestion queue where members can propose future reads
• Voting on the next book to read
• Activity feed showing member updates

Creating a book club takes just a minute:

• Go to the Book Clubs tab
• Tap "Create New Club"
• Enter a name for your club
• Optionally add a description and choose a cover image
• Share the invite code with friends!

As the creator, you'll be the club admin with the ability to manage members and settings.

To join an existing book club, you'll need an invite code from the club admin. Then:

• Go to the Book Clubs tab
• Tap "Join Club"
• Enter the 6-character invite code
• You're in! You'll see the club's current book and can start tracking your progress.

No, book clubs are completely private by default. Only people with the invite code can join and see the club's content. Book clubs are not searchable or publicly listed.

Club admins can regenerate the invite code at any time if needed, which will invalidate the old code.

Club members can:

• See the current book and track their reading progress
• View other members' progress (percentage complete)
• Suggest books for the club to read next
• Vote on book suggestions
• See club activity and updates

Club admins have additional abilities like selecting the current book, managing members, and changing club settings.

"My Books" is your personal library within PageSwipe. It's organized into three main sections:

• Want to Read: Your wishlist of books you'd like to read someday
• Currently Reading: Books you're actively reading right now
• Finished: Your completed books - your reading history

You can easily move books between sections as you progress through your reading journey.

On the iOS app, you can use the barcode scanner to quickly add physical books:

• Tap the "+" button in My Books
• Select "Scan Barcode"
• Point your camera at the book's ISBN barcode (usually on the back cover)
• The book details will load automatically
• Choose which list to add it to

This is perfect for cataloging your home library or adding books while browsing at a bookstore!

No limits! You can add as many books as you want to your library, whether you're on the free tier or PageSwipe Pro. Build your ultimate reading list without restrictions.

Yes! For books in your "Finished" section, you can mark them as "Lent Out" and optionally note who has the book. This helps you keep track of your physical book collection.

When the book is returned, simply remove the "Lent Out" status.

You can cancel anytime from your account settings.

Absolutely! You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Here's what happens:

• You'll keep Pro features until the end of your current billing period
• Your data and library are never deleted
• You'll revert to the free tier features after your subscription ends
• You can re-subscribe anytime to restore Pro features

Payment methods depend on your platform:

• iOS: All payment is handled through Apple's App Store. You can use any payment method linked to your Apple ID (credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, App Store gift cards).
• Web: We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through our secure payment processor, Stripe.

Yes, your privacy is our priority. By default:

• Your reading list and library are private to you
• Your swipe history is never shared
• We never sell your personal data to third parties
• Book club activity is only visible to club members

We only use your reading data to improve your personalized recommendations and never for advertising purposes.

Only in limited, controlled situations:

• Book clubs: Club members can see your progress on the club's current book
• Everything else: Private by default

You have full control over what you share. You can leave any book club at any time if you no longer want to share progress with that group.

You can delete your account at any time:

• Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account
• Confirm your decision
• Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days

Please note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You'll lose your reading history, library, and club memberships. If you have an active Pro subscription, please cancel it first to avoid future charges.

Try these troubleshooting steps:

• Refresh or restart: Close the app completely and reopen it, or refresh the web page
• Check your connection: Make sure you have a stable internet connection
• Update the app: Ensure you're running the latest version from the App Store
• Clear cache: On web, try clearing your browser cache and cookies for our site
• Try logging out and back in: This can resolve sync issues
